From the Director:

Welcome to the Ronald McDonald House/Courthouse Kids Triathlon Website.  We are excited about this year's race, our 8th, and hope that you consider entering.  Triathlon is a character building multi-sport event that is gaining in popularity with participants of all ages all around the globe.  On race day you will meet participants of all skill levels, some have competed for years, but most will be participating for the first time.

Many of you have never thought about linking these three activities together in a race.  No matter what your skill level, or the finishing time, the important thing to remember is that you are participating!  When you go to summer camp or return to school in the fall, not many of your friends will be able to say that they did a triathlon last summer!

Although there are only a handful of awards that are given out at the conclusion of the race, everyone is a winner.  Each of you will have a different goal; some want to win, some want to beat last year's time, some want to beat a friend or sibling, and some simply want to finish the race and say "I did it".  No matter what your skill level is we are committed to helping you reach your goal.

In 2008 we will continue to improve the flow of the race through transition.  Although racing in an urban setting is not ideal, the race staff believes we have a safe course for the children.

I am proud to direct this race for the Ronald McDonald House of Mississippi and want to assure you that your donation makes a difference in the lives of Mississippians when they need it most.  If you have questions please contact the Ronald McDonald House of Mississippi at (601) 981-5683 or me at galics@millsaps.edu.

Sincerely,

Stan Galicki
